Occupying a sensitive and visible location on a steeply sloping site overlooking the Neath Valley, the masterplan for a new holiday village has been developed to minimise the visual impact when seen from the surroundings and also to respect various parts of the site that have medium to high ecological value and habitats.
The village will include up to 114 new lodges, along with a visitor centre and a leisure complex, and is located adjacent to a National Cycle route.
Each single storey lodge has a raised deck to allow residents to enjoy the countryside views, and is separated and screened from its neighbour by sensitive indigenous planting which will help the low rise development bleed into the surrounding landscape.
