Tickhill

Tickhill is a delightful historic village near Doncaster in South Yorkshire. Our masterplan aims to integrate a new neighbourhood on the outskirts of the village in a respectful and sympathetic manner.

Tickhill is a delightful historic village close to Doncaster, with a castle and many listed buildings. The village has a unique identity characterised by its 2 attractive main streets with their beautiful buildings of varying  styles and materials - Westgate and Sunderland Street.

The proposed residential site on the edge of the village in close proximity to the A1(M), has been earmarked for a new housing development of 74 homes by the Local Authority. Our masterplan seeks to extend the character of the existing village throughout the new neighbourhood, and ensure that the development would fit well with its surroundings.

The layout has been developed to integrate a historic hedge which traverses the site , and to respect important sightlines to Tickhill Castle in the distance. House types will reflect local needs for smaller homes and for a proportion of affordable homes.
