Forming part of the Glasgow City Council Meat Market masterplan which will extend the ribbon of development and connectivity between the city centre and the east end, the 2.25 hectare site is being transformed by Home Group with a residential proposal of 252 dwellings and a ground-level commercial unit of 300m2.

The site adjacent to the Dennistoun Conservation Area, has been designed with continuous blocks overlooking Duke Street and Bellgrove Street, lining and enclosing these important city streets and creating contemporary Glasgow tenemental streetscapes in keeping with their context.

The deep plan buildings are highly efficient with 4 apartments per floor arranged around a central stair and liftwell, ensuring wheelchair access throughout. All apartments' living spaces have a southerly or westerly aspect to the rear along with private amenity spaces, creating a highly liveable, affordable neighbourhood a stone's throw from the city centre.
